At first I thought the 4d price on the Christmas issue was because it was a “bumper” Christmas issue but then I found the “normal” issues priced 4d as well. On closer inspection these 4d issues have been re-priced with a red sticker. I am told that it was fairly common practice for second-hand stalls to sell off old comics in later years

at the then “going rate” for comics.
